Ceres recap of 2021 and plans for the first half of 2022

--

The year behind will be remembered as a very successful and important year for us. After several months of hard work, planning, developing the idea of the whole project and overcoming many obstacles that came our way, Ceres saw the light of day. For the new year, we wish it to be even more successful and productive with the products that are coming in the following months.

Plans for the first half of 2022

The current focus of the Ceres team is the launch of Liquidity Locker, Token Locker, Ceres Governance and Ceres ILO/Launchpad platform on the SORA network by the end of Q1. With these products, we would enable new projects to be launched on the SORA network and provide additional security for the community and investors.

Liquidity locker - Decentralized application that brings more transparency and security to the Polkaswap and Sora/Polkadot ecosystem. Tokens on Polkaswap will be able to lock their liquidity and ensure that it cannot be pulled giving investors proof of security and seriousness of the project.

Token Locker - Will be offered as an independent service as well integrated with ILO platform. Teams will use this for vesting team, marketing and other tokens.

Ceres ILO/Launchpad - This platform will be another use case of Ceres token. That will be the first entry for new projects on the SORA network. With ILO platform users will get more security and new projects will easier launch their tokens on Polkaswap.

Ceres Governance - Ceres token holders will be able to influence decisions concerning the project such as proposing or deciding on new feature proposals.

Between Q1 and Q2, the plan is to distribute Demeter airdrop and provide liquidity for the XOR/DEO pair on Polkaswap and launch the Demeter Farming platform which development will be a part of SORA Builder Programme. We would like the Demeter Farming platform to go live once the BSC -> XOR bridge comes out as this would bring a much bigger TVL to the platform and make it even more interesting to the community. It is also planned to enable the fee for Liquidity Locker, Token Locker and Launchpad to be paid with a DEO token, so we would add another purpose to the DEO token.

At the end of Q2 we would launch CeresLab. It will be part of Ceres community that will educate developers and support new projects that would like to build dApp in Rust/Substrate and launch their products on the SORA network. It is also planned that CeresLab will be a partner with faculties that provide blockchain education, but we will talk more about this topic in the future.

In the first half of this year, the Ceres team wants to forge new partnerships to expand our community and bring new projects to the SORA network with the help of the Ceres ILO/Launchpad platform. So far, we have contacted several interesting projects and we hope to cooperate with some of them in the future and together bring new value to the SORA network and Polkaswap.

In the end we would like to thank for the great support provided by the SORA dev team and the constructive meeting with Makoto-san and Pavel Golovkin. It was great to share experiences and talk about improving the SORA network.

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
Your Ceres team
